Photos You Take
DayFace is a personal style and grooming guide. To provide it, we collect:
- The facial selfie photos you choose to take or upload in the app
- The style and grooming scores generated from those photos (skin, hair, beard, and clothing)
- Day-over-day comparisons, streaks, and achievement data derived from your activity
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Authentication credentials, or tokens if you sign in with a third-party provider
- Subscription and purchase status (managed through the App Store or Google Play)
Device and Usage Information
We automatically collect:
- Device type, operating system, and app version
- IP address and general location (country or city level)
- In-app activity and feature usage
- Error logs and performance diagnostics
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Analyze your selfie and generate supportive style and grooming scores and tips
- Track your progress, streaks, and achievements over time
- Maintain your account and process your subscription
- Improve the accuracy and quality of the service
- Communicate with you about updates, security, and support
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud or abuse
3. How Your Photos Are Processed
When you submit a selfie for analysis:
- The image is sent securely to a third-party AI vision provider that returns category scores and suggestions
- The resulting scores and the photo are stored in association with your account so you can view your history
- We do not use your photos to identify you to other people, and we do not publish them publicly
DayFace is not a medical, diagnostic, or attractiveness-rating service. Scores reflect style and grooming signals only and are intended to support a positive daily habit. They are not health, dermatological, or medical advice, and they are not a measure of a person's worth or appearance relative to anyone else.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
We share data only with service providers that help us run DayFace:
- AI vision provider: receives submitted photos to generate analysis results
- App stores: Apple App Store and Google Play handle app distribution and subscription billing
- Infrastructure and analytics providers: hosting, storage, and aggregated, de-identified usage analytics
- Authentication providers: if you choose to sign in with a third-party account
We do NOT:
- Sell your personal information or your photos
- Use your photos for advertising
- Share your photos publicly without your action (for example, when you choose to share a result card)
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
- Secure password storage
- Access controls limiting who can view personal data
- Regular security reviews and updates
6. Data Retention and Deletion
- We retain your photos, scores, and account data while your account is active
- You can delete individual analyses, and you can delete your account at any time
- When you delete your account, your photos and associated data are removed from our active systems
- Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period but cannot be restored to your account
- Aggregated, de-identified data may be retained to improve the service
7. Your Rights and Controls
You have the right to:
- Access and review the data associated with your account
- Correct your personal information
- Delete individual photos, analyses, or your entire account
- Opt out of non-essential email communications
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you

8. Children's Privacy
DayFace is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including by our service providers. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place to protect your information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of DayFace after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
